International conferences, thematic workshops, expert group meetings, focused training courses and other capacity building initiatives are organized by ICS to bring together experts and specialists from Developing countries as well as from Developed Countries to discuss the state-of-the-art of certain scientific/technological fields in relation to the needs and opportunities of the developing world and to provide ICS with concrete indication/proposals for the annual Work Programme.
